Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga provides a "home away from home" for families of critically ill or injured children and supports programs that address the health and well-being of children.
Providing a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill or injured children and support of programs that improve the health, education, and well-being of children. The cornerstone programs are: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Ronald McDonald House, a 26 bedroom facility, serves as a “home away from home” each year for approximately 600 families with critically ill or injured children in nearby Chattanooga hospitals. Click here for House Video Tour The Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital is a day-use facility that is open 12 hours a day for anyone with an immediate family member in T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital, Siskin Hospital, or Erlanger Hospital. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a state-of-the-art dental clinic on wheels which provides children and young adults, 21 and younger who are either on TennCare or have no insurance, all the services of a dentist's office at no charge. Ronald McDonald House Charities also offers 40, $1,000 scholarships annually, to area high schools' seniors. The RMHC scholarship program is funded in part through canister promotions at local McDonald's restaurants.
